Superintendent Thomas A Wiggins Jr.

Thirty-Four years ago in the little town of Whaleyville, Virginia God impressed upon the heart of Minister Thomas Wiggins, Jr. to move to Bolton, North Carolina. He arrived there with the belief that teaching school would be his life long career. Not knowing that God had other plans for his life, Minister Wiggins accepted the pastorate of the Bolton Church of God in Christ in which he now has served for twenty-seven years. Yet this was not his final destiny.

Twenty-four years later God moved upon the heart of Bishop C.E. Anderson to make Elder Wiggins superintendent of the Wilmington District and place him as his protégébut,  here at Faith Temple Church. The scripture speaks of it as being the Lord's doings and it being marvelous in our eyes. After his acceptance as pastor, Elder Wiggins immediately went to work. His demeanor is as much like Bishop Anderson's as if he were his own flesh and blood. With his many talents, teaching and preaching ability, the church has taken on a new personality, new growth as well as a new look.

To know Pastor Wiggins is to love him and to love him is to obey him. He has a personality that makes it hard for one not to love him. He is a man that loves people, loves the church, and most of all loves the Word of God. If he can do any thing for you, rest assured he will. With him there is no big I or little you. He teaches God has no respect of person, what He does for one He will do for another. He has adopted this philosophy, everybody is somebody in God.
